Completion

Google Earth was a surprise because I hadn't ventured too far from Google maps. I had only seen the satellite views available from parcel searches, so the Fly to option was a neat discovery. It's a bit freaky though, knowing that others can zero right in on locations as well.

I will use short cuts often for the UC Berkely page, Fancast, and Yahoo games--all sites I hadn't bothered with before or did not know about.

The 20 for 2.0 program worked because of the organization and the accountability.

Thank you for putting it together.

Gaming

I too have enjoyed seeing the teens turn out for our gaming events. I'm also looking forward to seeing gaming expanded to other age groups and different interests. There will always be a few of those obssessives out there that give gaming a bad name but I believe the majority find that gaming is a valuable tool for promoting personal growth.

Google Earth

I had used this before but not with the "Fly to" option. A person has to be careful though if they're prone to motion sickness. What a great discovery-I'll use Google Earth often now.

Avatars

It's a great idea for everyone to visit MS. Dewey and it's worthwhile for us to be familiar with Avatars. I was able to create and add my own, but other than that, I doubt if I will ever join a virtual entity like Second Life. Well...maybe when I retire.

Zoho and Google Docs

Zoho looked a bit different, but Google Docs will be very handy. I had glanced at the site a couple of times, but hadn't really explored or logged in to practice until this assignment.
Time well spent.

UC Berkeley Search Engine Page is a must visit!

This is a valuable resource to share with patrons. The comparison chart says and shows it all and the additional tutorials help make the most of using your favorite search engine.
